Grafting tool

Grafting tool
Grafting for rootstocks and branches. A cut makes an incision that provides a perfect fit for a graft.

Cutting grafting tool for stems between 4-5 mm up to a maximum of 12 mm.

How to use the tool:

Step 1: Insert the branch to be grafted into the tool. Squeeze the handle to make a cut in the branch. Repeat the procedure with the donor plant. Ensure that the cut in the branch is straight and has distinct edges.

Step 2: Insert the graft branch into the notch on the plant to be grafted. Match the cut surfaces as closely as possible. If the graft branch is not the same size, match only one side.

Step 3: Place sterilised material around the grafting site and secure with tape. The sterilised material protects the plant from bacteria and various weather conditions.

Step 4: Use secateurs to cut away unnecessary branches on the plant (less wind resistance and risk of grafting being subjected to too much force).

The following is included:

  • 1 roll of grafting tape
  • 3 blades with different profiles (1 already fitted)
  • extra plastic anvil for knife.
